Typical EV200 applications include battery switching and back-up, DC voltage power control, circuit protection and safety.  (9-36V Coil voltage)

For medium size BMS safety interlock application, the EV200 series is hard to beat, with a 500 amp capacity.

Product Facts

Designed to be the smallest, lightest weight, lowest cost sealed contactor in the industry with its current rating (500+A carry, 2000Ainterrupt at 320VDC).  Built-in coil economizer – only1.7W hold power @ 12VDC (9-36V Coil voltage) and it limits back EMF to 0V. Models requiring external economizer also available.  Optional auxiliary contact for easy monitoring of power contact position.Hermetically sealed – intrinsically safe, operates in explosive/harsh environments with no oxidation or contamination of coils or contacts, including long periods of non-operation.Versatile coil/power connections.CE marked for EC applications.  AIAG QS9000 designed, built and approved

Great Contactor at a Good price...

Off Grid and Marine Energy had a very nice sale on the Tyco 500A contactor for use with our REC BMS on our large LiFePO4 house bank - it will be perfect for our setup.

Can this be used in place of a FET basked Victron smart battery protect using the Lynx BMS ATD (allow to discharge) wiring?

DC PowerWorld/OGM Energy

The EV200 uses a two stage activation with an econmizer that pulls the coil in hard and fast, then pulls back for holding. It initially draws 3-4 amps for less than a second and then consumes only a few milli-amps but your charge and discharge outputs on the Lynx are limited to 0.5A, so it might work, but if it were me I would add a small interposing relay just to make sure.
