REC BMS 2Q Series 16S-Slave

Ordering is ez-pee-ze, nice follow up email with links to important docs, order arrived on time. OGM has been very consistent over the past 2-3 years that I have been working with Rick. I am very satisfied that the order is processed right away and the shipping times are spot on with minimal cost. (I paid a little bit to have the order shipped using a faster method) 5 Stars… again.

This spring, during some physical maintenance, my REC 1Q based system went hard down with an error 15 fault. Rick owned the recovery from first contact (in spite of the fact that this was objectively my fault).

Responsive: Same-day email replies and a quick follow-up call to confirm diagnosis and next steps.
Expert troubleshooting: Identified a likely cell-tap issue, shared clear upgrade guidance, and produced a 1Q→2Q wiring cross-reference to de-risk the retrofit.
Deadline support: Built a complete parts list and coordinated an expedited UPS shipment to meet a tight install window.

Result: minimal downtime, smooth 2Q backfit, and a partner I trust for future work. Strongly recommend OGM for sourcing REC and Wakespeed equipment.

This is the 2nd time in 4 years that Rick helped me recover from a major system failure that left us powerless and under a tight recovery timeline. His level of support stands out dramatically compared to experiences we've had with other suppliers of equipment in our system.

Rick was super helpful in answering all my detailed questions as we worked through what was mostly user error and clarifying documentation. Could not be happier and will get my wakespeed from OGM when the time comes!

All l can say is that after l have tried multiple of the other BMS that are much cheaper is that they all are in a box beside my bench..l will say that as someone that has done different things most of my life l knew every time I was hooking up the other systems l was highly suspicious of the wiring quality and having messed with electrical systems I should have known better but it seemed they all were the same until I finally bit the bullet and ordered the Rec2Q and looking back if I would have done this in the beginning l would have had just one BMS system and the money I spent on the other ones would have bought the one I am using.. and not to mention the freedom to leave my house without worrying about it burning down..

I just wanted to let anyone else know that I first saw the Rec2Q BMS when I was first thinking about solar and since then I have tried many others trying to save a few dollars and I can say from my experience that once I saw first hand how a BMS actually has to do it's job that I stood no chance with what I was purchasing and if I would have followed my gut I would have been where I am now much sooner and the price of the other stuff I bought in between actually purchasing the Rec2Q l could have paid for the unit.. because it actually works right out of the box..l have 20 330w panels and 2 solar charge controllers and a10000w inverter with right now16 280 ah eve lfp cells and other than being a dummy as far as figuring out the WiFi absolutely no problems.. and after many days and nights of no sleep and constantly trying to speak different languages and time differences with the latter l am really impressed with my Rec BMS just the quality of the wiring alone at first feel let me know that I could have burnt everything l have worked for down if the others would have worked at all.. there was no way what I was purchasing before my Rec BMS unit would have done what it is..
