Zeus as REC Active follower on 500k bms can but no cerbo widget.

  • Arco says "victron follow" needs to be anabled for DVCC to work. But I found that this only works when you have an Victron Lynx Smart NG BMS in the system.

So in my opinion its not true DVCC support, as DVCC can work with even an Smartshunt and AGM batteries. And ofcourse REC BMS, or any other supported CAN bus battery also.

  • @Trond Røsvik that was my understanding of DVCC as well.  If I still had the AGM batteries and only a smart shunt this wouldn't stand a chance.

  • Tested in system with Victron Smart BMS NG and still can not get DVCC to work.

Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Also, in V1.24 there is no timeout if Zeus looses contact with BMS.

The last known battery voltage is what it will use as reference.

It will gladly continue at 100% field even after 12V battery is 40V+

  • @Trond I tried the other day to get the Zeus to follow DVCC using a smart shunt as the battery monitor....no joy.  I brought this up to Andre at Arco that following a BMS was not participating in DVCC.

I'm going to need to double check the loss of communication scenario, but mine seem to go into limp mode and proclaim no valid battery data.  But I've not specifically checked this when they're already at full field.

  • With Sync Disabled you should see these data.

And this works just fine.. I also have REC BMS, but using it with volt sense is fine until Arco improves the SW.

I was also an "beta tester" for Wakespeed.. it was also an process but in the end it worked out.

Am sure Arco will get there as well.

  • Just got this feedback from Arco:

"Ok, found the issue on DVCC.  We are fixing it, and it will be available in the next week or so.  The comms issue (unplugging the network cable) has been resolved as well and will be available in the next release as well.  We’re looking to push this out quickly, so it should be available in the next two weeks or less.".

No word in the REC/250kbps issue but I am pushing this as well..

  • Thanks for the update.  We are hoping to be able to provide some testing feedback ourselves in the next week.

  • Still no news from Arco on that "next week" firmware update.

Have you been able to test the Zeus now Rick?
