There have been some cases of the Wifi module becoming unresponsive. This is usually caused by:
- SD card full
- SD card corrupted
- Wifi module reset during upgrade
NOTE: There is also a separate issue with the BMS not connecting after an upgrade but this is usually just that in the most recent firmware update the RS85 baud rate speed has been increased to 115K and it just needs to be set on the WiFi "Firmware" page.
If that is not your problem, often just doing a 20 second press on the WiFi reset will return the WiFi to factory defaults but if that doesnt work try this:
- disconnect your wifi module and remove the 4 philips screws on the back cover
- find the SD card and slide down the metal cage clip and flip it up to remove the SD card
- insert your SD card into a computer and format it for FAT32
- download the latest Wifi module firmware update from here: REC BMS WiFi downloads
- copy the two files to the root directory of your SD card. See the readme in the downloaed zip file.
- re-install the SD card in the module and reconnect power
- WAIT 1 hour for files to copy to processor. This is a very slow process so dont rush it.
- Disconnect power, wait 10 seconds and reconnect
- WAIT 15 minutes for module to reinitialize
- Now try logging in again
Don't forget to set the address and RS485 baud rates in the "Firmware" page
