I have a trick/tip and a suggestion.
Trick/tip: When using the REC WiFi module as a station device, all works well if the wifi hotspot is up and running when the REC WiFi module boots. However, when all of the systems power up together, the wifi hotspot boot takes longer than the REC WiFi module, and the WiFi module never makes it onto the network. The trick is to power up the wifi hotspot before powering the REC BMS/Wifi Module. This is 100% effective, but very inconvenient because the hotspot is normally powered by the batteries protected by the BMS.
Suggestion: Have the WiFi Module periodically reattempt finding the hotspot.

Good feedback, thanks, but most people wire the WiFi module to the battery side of the system and leave it powered up. The current draw in sleep mode is so tiny as to be not a factor. The benefit of this is that you can still record alarms, trips and log data if the BMS goes into an alarm condition.
I didn’t explain the scenario very well. The BMS and WiFi are wired to the battery, and almost always powered. It’s the RV hotspot that isn’t always powered. When the hotspot boots up, the already powered REC WiFi module seems unwilling to connect to the hot spot. My guess is the module tried, but didn’t find the hotspot and at some point quit trying to connect.
If I cycle the BMS and Wi-Fi module power when the hotspot has been powered for a couple of minutes, everything works perfectly.
