Do the Opto lines have enough current capability to directly drive the Tyco EV200AAANA 500 amp contactor when connected in series with it and a 12v source? (observing correct polarity)

no, they are meant to drive something like an LED directly. If you want to drive a larger load you will need a relay with a very low (15ma) draw or a powered relay like this.
