Hey Ben, thanks for the reply. Here is a screenshot of my REC home page. This is a 24V start battery, so 2x13.36=26.72. My SOCH = 0.05. Cell difference is typically 3-7mV. I have about 0.3A of drai...

Hi everyone, I've set up and have been using successfully for 1 1/2 years with no issues a REC Q BMS (firmware 1Q-4000+, manual rev 2.9.0 Jan 2023) for my 24V CALB 230 cells LiFePO4 battery bank (...
Earlier I had asked Grok to compare the 2.6.0 docs to the 2.6.1 version wrt to changes realated to REC BMS. I should have posted that convo as well: Changes to Support for REC-BMS in Wakespe...
If you get a chance to review the above, let me know if you find any errors that Grok has made. Thanks!
Continuing with Grok, I asked about DVCC support changes, and support for CerboGX. Changes and Improvements to VE DVCC Integration in Wakespeed WS500/WS500-Pro Firmware v2.6.1 VE DVCC (Victron En...

I just noticed that the Wakespeed has released new FW: 2.6.1 along with an update to their Comm and config docs. There is also an update to the Android WS app.
Ok, I'm glad that someone else is seeing the same thing. Where did you see the text "Add Battery charge request info"? In some release notes or elsewhere?
@Peter That's my understanding as well, and my set up.
Just noticed that in the House Batt (REC-BMS Q Series BMS) Parameters page, "Reqests Charing always shows "No" even when the WS-500 is charging the battery and the volatge is lower. Is this...
I can't seem to figure out how to remove the inverter and AC loads icons from my DC only engine alternator system. I'm sure I'm missings some setting somewhere. Anyone else figure this out w...
The WS-500 2.6.1-January f/w seems to be the ticket
I'm using 3 as well. Everything seems to be working. Thanks!
Reach out to matthew@dragonflyenergy.com for the latest firmware update. That way, you will get the latest version, which I believe is the January build.
I've updated to the 2.6.1 January build and can now see field drive on my Cerbo.
Based upon this from the manual, I think that I should use option "3."
On a LiFePO4 battery system that incorporates a Cerbo GX, Wakespeed WS-500 and the REC-BMS which Alternate CAN / BMS protocol are people using?
- Cerbo GX running latest sw - WS-500 running f/w 2.6.0 - WS-500 charging at 153 amps, but field drive reporting shows "0%" - Does anyone know if this is a WS-500 or Cerbo GX issue? - I h...

I used Rick's cheat sheet along with recommendations from Ben.
@Rick Admin , As I am considering my options and reviewing the 2Q details, I also need to ensure that they are compatiable with my WakeSpeed WS-500 regulators and will work seemlessly with the Cer...

for what it's worth, I replaced my switch with a bigger one that is mounted in a watertight box and labeled the hell out of it.

@Rick Thanks for this info. I thought that I had mis-configured something. Is the workaround to use the WS-500 with DVCC turned off until 2.6.1 is released?
@Jonny I've been away from my boat for a few months, but am about to get into settling in my Wakespeed 500-Victron-REC-BMS configurations and set up. I will collect as much data that I can a...

@nworker becasue there is no real time clock (RTC) on the Q Series, my graphs simply show an incrementing integer sequence along the X-axis.
Can someone explain how the passive balancing alogrithm works on the the REC Q BMS. When you reach the balancing start voltage, in this example 3.45v, does the REC balance one cell at a time by dra...
