Maximum Cell Float Voltage Coefficient

  • Does anyone know where I can get an updated software version for the REC Q unit that has this parameter option in it?  I have the 2.6 software of the BMS and the 1.6 version for the Wi-fi module but I don\'t see this option on the Wi-Fi module settings. Thanks

  • The Q series has firmware that is keyed to the serial number, so you just need to send in your request to REC, along with your serial number and they will get you an update. It can be installed using either the PC software or WiFi module

What is the correct value to use for LiFePO4 cells???

@Ben recommneds 1.0, but I believe that I've seen other recommended values as low as 0.6. Does this value need to be reset depending on my boat being in the pacific northest vs. Mexico in the summer?

Does anyone know that correct answer and why? Searching the manual pdf does not reveal the answer.

From Google: The "float voltage coefficient" refers to a numerical factor used to determine the correct float voltage for a battery during the float charging stage. This stage maintains a battery's full charge by providing a small, constant voltage to compensate for self-discharge. The float voltage coefficient is typically expressed in mV/°C/cell and is used to adjust the float voltage based on the battery's temperature.
