Is it possible to downgrade firmware in the REC Active BMS? That is, can I (re)load an older version of firmware over top of a later version if I'm unhappy with the later version?

Yes you can.
But what is the problem ?
Since 2.9 and the user programmable of CVLC , it is much better to make a nice "float" setting. (Stop charging)
No specific problem ... yet. I'm considering updating an existing 2-contactor system from 2.6 , and with all the recent changes to the way a 2-contactor system is handled, I want to be sure I can revert back to a functioning system if the new fw "breaks" something I'm using.

Yes, I have downgraded several times while testing with the PC software and RS485 cable, but havent tried it yet with the WiFi module.
