Delighted to finally bring our WS500 alive under full Victron Lynx Smart BMS /Cerbo GX DVCC Whitespace control. The 2 year old Cerbo firmware needed updating along with the long awaited 2.5.2 new WS500 firmware. The OGM Wakespeed Configuration Software is a truly brilliant assist.
The initial SOC of our 660AH Victron Smart LFP bank was 96%. Stepwise increase in Yanmar 3JH2-TE RPM gave a maximum of 130A of charging at 2300 until reaching 100%SOC where DVCC began tapering back charging presumably for balancing. The GenMaax 250A remote rectified alternator has been limited to 72% maximum output in the Configuration.
I am interested to see if the field will be cut back to stop charging during an extended run once the the Lynx Smart BMS completes balancing.
