Greetings all.
I am configuring and integrating a LiFePo4 stans alone 3P4S 12V (942 Ah) with REC Active MBS w/wifi and precharge in my current system which I describe at the bottom.
I am looking for itel and pointers to resources/examples/drawings to address the following points;
- ABYC E-13 requires that boat's electrical system won't be damaged if a BMS disconnect occurs. What are the current thoughts on addressing alternator load dumps if the BMS shuts down for a WS500 equipped vessel?
- ABYC E-13 requires that critical boat systems should have alternate power sources so they can remain operational in the event of a ABMS disconnect. What would be a way to seamlessly switch from house to starting/emergency battery in an emergency shut down (or at some critical pre-shut down level)?
- In addtion, what is a well accepted way to charge the flooded starting/emergency battery when the house is comparatively large lithium chemistry? Currently the Blue Sea SI-ACR does it. Short of having dedicated devices, how do people charge from LiFePo4 house. Is is possible to use the Orion XS as a 12V charger for the flooeded battery under normal operation and a relay activated switch for the floded to take over in an emergency as defined by BMS paramenters?
Current system
Cerbo GX, MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 120V inverter/charger, WS500 (with a 90A alternator), BMV712, 2x175W solar with Victron MPPT
Starting Battery: 12V Flooded Group 27
Blue Sea SI-ACR
The closest diagram I have found that fits my situation and future goals is the following
Thanks,
