Greetings to all from the UK
I have installed a Victron 48v Multiplus II /Fogstar Battery bank in my LC80 and used during the past year. Battery charging has been via shore power. My aim is to try and achieve 48v alternator charging.
Part 1: Installed middle of vehicle seats removed and ex seatbelt bolts used for grounding:
- Fogstar 48V 125Ah Lithium Battery
- Victron MultiPlus-II 48/3000 Inverter/Charger
- Daygreen 48V to 13.8V 100A Converter 1 (Camper accessories and fridge) has ACC trigger not used
- Victron IP65 smart shunt on battery neg
- Projoy 125A DC Isolator for Battery and Daygreen
- Shore power 16A AC Breaker - Consumer Unit RCD + 10A MCB + 6A MCB)
Part2: To install (any help or input would be very much appreciated!)
- Rapid Power Redback RB2T6-48/90 Alternator
- ARCO Zeus 48V Alternator Shield
- Wakespeed WS500 Pro Bluetooth Alternator Regulator × 1
WS500-LT-K 25 ft Battery Temperature Sensor Cable × 1
WS500 Victron Crossover Cable × 1
WS500-AT-K 1 ft Alternator/Battery Temperature Sensor × 1
WS500 OTG USB-C Cell Phone Adapter × 1
WS500 Wiring Harness × 1Positive Excitation
USB Configuration Cable for Version 2.0 boards - 15 ft × 1
- Victron 500A/50mV Shunt (Part: SHU500050100)
- Daygreen 48V to 13.8V 100A Converter 2nd (Vehicle starter battery and ECU) has ACC
- Victron Cerbo GX (Original MK2 version)
- DC Fused Victron Lynx Distributor M8 to try help additional wiring and keep extra wiring tidier in limited space
My first question is I have been supplied the standard harness (have extended temp 25ft sensor) As I was hoping to place the wakespeed ws500 box in centre of vehicle alongside victron however standard supplied harness is seemingly very short? Will the van harness work. Does the van harness have the correct connections for my alternator? I have attached some pics.

I plan to run some auto conduit under the vehicle through to the engine bay but have not finalised this aspect. I am trying to avoid running cables along inner sills as this may prove difficult.
Very many thanks for any help. :D
