What is the difference between the victron and non abms version of a REC BMS?

Hi Kenny,
The advantage is that the REC will treat the WS500 as a charging device and start to modulate it down as it nears a bank or cell full voltage condition.
This has two advantages. It will reduce the chance of a hard OV trip and allow the WS500 to still provide a limited output and encourage top balancing for BMS\'s that utilize that function.
My question was more....
What is the difference between the 2 actual ABMS units.
If someone has the non victron one, and you state it only works with the victron abms.
What can be done.
Sorry, I thought I had answered that in the original email. If you purchased your unit recently it should be the same, it just needs to have its firmware updated to the new version using your REC software app, but you will need to get it from where you bought your BMS.
So it\'s only a firmware upgrade? Hardware is the same. That\'s great news.
