I see various mentions of REC Q BMS and then sometimes specific talk about a REC for Victron. Is this just a standard configuration that you apply, of is it completely different hardware?
My Q BMS had the CAN speed set to 250 kbit/s by default, and the user manual said it would be 125 kbit/s. The Victron version of the REC manual says the default is 250 kbit/s…
Thanks,
A.
REC interfaces with several inverters for the ESS market which include the Victron but with Victron it goes one step further and integrates into Victron Cerbo/Venus product line. All North American REC BMSs come with the Victron and Wakespeed WS500 interfaces by default. No other hardware is required.
Your CANBus speed is adjustable on both the Victron VE.CAN and the REC CANBus. You just need to make sure they match and that standard CANBus wiring conventions are followed
