So thanks to those that replied to try to help for my thread:
https://ogm-energy.com/community/ogm-user-forum/topic/89665/p-van-opt-2-harness
It was determined that the wrong harness was used for my Nations second alternator and WS500. I had a "P VAN OPT 2" harness that was meant for Lithionics canbus battery system. I need a harness that is not canbus and that uses shunt information for current flow. It is being sent to me ...
My question is - has anybody had any exerience splicing into existing (already installed wires) to a new harness. It would make things SO much easier. I really am only talking about 2 wires that go from my inside RV WS500 out to the alternator.
I have one dark blue wire that connects to my Field connaction on teh alternator and a larger black wire (the alternator temp sensor) - I actually already cut my existing harness balck wire. It is insulated (like a coax cable) with three wires inside - an insulated black and red wire and an uninsulated silver wire. I was hoping to splice each wire and the recover with shrink wrap. Has anyone had any experience with splicing for repair or anything otherwise the WS500 harness wiring ??
Thanks
