I see that there are severval ways to communicate with the WS500. Can I assume that using the WS app on an Android will give me full access and no need to even bother with any of the other tools on Windows machines, such Putty, etc.

I have been able to fully configure my WS500 using the Wakespeed app on my Android phone prior to installation. However, I habe not yet got the unit installed to test it.

Bill, you are correct, the Android app offer a good Q&A approach and will do 90% of customers. If you really want to dig into each parameter and log data, then we have a Windows app for that.
