I\'ve got the active BMS and the PC connection which I\'ve found helpful for seeing cell balancing, and setting things up. However, I\'m a bit surprised I\'m not able to see more of what\'s going on through the PC interface.
Contactor Status - recently, while getting our Victron MP3k installation finalized I could hear a contactor switching, but could not quite tell which one without pulling out my multimeter. I was thinking there would have been a status update in the software stating \"Charge Connector Opened\" or \"Load Connector Opened\" and perhaps a reason. In this case, I figured out through troubleshooting that the BMS was opening the charge connector as the battery was getting close to full charge.
Anyhow, am I missing a software update or feature which shows more about what the BMS is doing?
The PC interface is very basic and only used for configuration and startup. The new Wifi module has more features and will continue to be enhanced.
If you require visual indication, maybe add a little status panel with indicators powered in parallel with your contactors
Thanks.
Do you think you\'ll add status of contactors to the WiFi interface? Seems overkill to have separate indicators when I just trying to see what the BMS is up to.
