Hello all & greetings from Romania :)
I operating a ~15kwp PV panels, Victron ecosystem (Quatrro 10k, 3 x 250/100 MPPTs, 1 Cerbo, 1 Smart Shunt, 1 Lynx Power In and 1 Lynx distributor, pretty much the whole pack) + 4 VW ID3 batteries (12S cells for each of the 4 battery modules, total capacity ~27kwh), batteries/modules operating at ~48V. As BMS I am using something I am not very confident of (some malfunctions, possibly some some hardware-software issues with them), thus I am in search of a better BMS.
REC BMS is one of the main options I am investigating - in need to manage 4 modules x 12 individual cells, with modules voltage ~48V
Thus I come with a few questions to folks who know REC BMS:
1) Is there counter-recommendation or issue for using REC for parallel connectivity in general or at 48V, in particular? My batteries are directly connected to 'feeding source' via the Victron Bus-Bar.
2) I presume I need to work with a master-slave approach (1 master, 4 slaves), correct?
3) Can REC use the Victron Smart Shunt, or it needs its own shunt?
4) Any additional input with related to my proposed integration mentioned above (Victron, batteries, etc)?
I'd want to use a BMS with as much reliability as possible - maybe give it full control (charge-discharge, absoption-float) in the Victor ecosystem (via its DVCC configs) - as it will be in a family house (wife & 2 kids, thus safety 1st) .
