Dead REC Master - Dead/Burnt components close to Vcc input

  • Hey guys.  I have a two battery (electric boat) that uses a REC master and two slaves.  There are no LED lights anywhere even though the master has 61VDC.  Desperate, I took apart the master and discovered fried parts close to the input power leads.  I need to fix this ASAP but I need to know what values these items are.  It appears that the blown component (which blackened the area) is close to "C31"... I also noticed a "D2", a diode, but I really don't see a typical diode.  I'm going to take it to an electronics shop but what are these items?  Does anybody have a schematic of these items close to Vcc in?  Also, it looks like this master has been previously repaired which gives me lingering doubts.  Thanks!

  • Hey Mike,

REC is pretty good about sharing this info so by way of this message I have included Tine in the thread and hopefully he can help you here.

  • @Rick Thanks Rick.  I cleaned it up with alcohol and it appears to be a circuit board fuse, because there is an "F1" next to it.  So I guess I need to know what fuse it would require. See photo for cleaned up board.
