When will this available for the Active BMS? The last firmware update I see is from late last year.
This will work with the Active BMS current release as well. Victron and REC are both continuing to enhance CAN functionality and there will be more updates over the next couple of years as this new integrated technology evolves
How come when I enter "CHRG 1" my ABMS replies Error 1? Same response when I enter "CHRG?"
"CANS 2" and "CANS?" work fine
CANS is an command described in the manual for ABMS.
It lets you change the bitrate of the data.
CHRG is an command that lets you change the protocol and this command is not supported by ABMS. CHRG 1 is VICTRON protocol, and this is already coded in to the ABMS if your using Victron compatible FW.
Thanks Trond, this is the 2Q Manual and the CHRG instruction does not apply. Also the Active BMS uses the instruction CANS instead of CANF. This will be updated in f/w update 2.9.5 to standardize between models and is expected to release later this spring of 2025. Once we have 2.9.5 we will update this quickstart guide.

I am just seeing this thread. Is there support for the REC Q BMS and the REC Master? I have a REC Master managing two REC Q BMS units for my house battery. And another REC Q for my main engine battery.
