@Trond Røsvik thatbwas my understanding of DVCC as well. If I still had the AGM batteries and only a smart shunt this would stand a chance.
@Trond Røsvik thatbwas my understanding of DVCC as well. If I still had the AGM batteries and only a smart shunt this would stand a chance.
Arco says "victron follow" needs to be anabled for DVCC to work. But I found that this only works when you have an Victron Lynx Smart NG BMS in the system. So in my opinion its not tr...
I just got to the boat and can confirm that it still doesn't follow DVCC when Setup at 250k on the other canbus from the REC it'll show up as an alternator, but doesn't recieve any useful informati...
"Does it follow DVCC now as well?" No, I have not got DVCC to work, not sure why. Perhaps it needs to be set to "Victron follow". but that only works if you have an Lynx Smart BMS NG as well...
@Trond Røsvik does it follow DVCC now as well? Suppose I want to leave my REC on can2 @500k and put the Zeus on Can 1 at 250k as a VICTRON follower. Will this work now?
I think I found the problem myself. In my system, there is 7 batteri monitors: 4 Batteries, then there are also 2 pcs MPPT and 1 PCS Multiplus, but the Cerbo sends these data as an battery m...
Ever since installing the Zeus I have been having issues with NMEA2000 data becoming corrupted and making the whole system crash. I have many battery monitors, charger info, 5 tanks etc trans...
I have tested the 1.24 FW and App V 2.0.11 that comes with it. The Alternator volt and current now shows up in the Cerbo (not battery volt and current like before). The only drawback is that it s...
Hey Stephano, The way 1Wire networks work is they use the network ID number as the reference so once you thermo cycle them you can sort them by cell #, as the ID number is not usually written on t...
I am using three Blue Sea Systems mini bus bars to connect 8 sensors to an ABMS. I have tested up to two on the bench, and they show properly in the interface. Short of using some heat or cold to t...
The good support folks at Dragonfly have sent me the 2.6.1 sw version to try. How has it been working for others?
Hello All, I am just seeing this thread. Is there support for the REC Q BMS and the REC Master? I have a REC Master managing two REC Q BMS units for my house battery. And another REC Q for my main...
Hello, can you help me? I have a Master 9M unit with 2 pcs of slave units (2Q) and a WiFi module. I have no issues with Master-Slave communication (no beeps, no errors), and readings from the sla...
Arco released Zeus Firmware v1.24. https://arcomarine.com/pages/arco-zeus-bluetooth-alternator-regulator-firmware-updates Now it should show alternator data on Cerbo instead of battery da...
Several years ago I started on someting for the older BMS and asked for some feedback on it but didnt get anything so its still a draft document and a bit outdated but it might help you a bit, but ...
I saw something similar, I just wrote it off as being a bug because I don't have a battery shunt attached to the Zeus. I do have a smart shunt that I've drilled and tapped to allow the rec to...
I have got reply to every mail. Very short replyes, but they are looking in to it and will implement many improvements in to the next FW release. I was in my boat again yesterday. Setup t...
@Rick-admin thanks. If Trond hasn't had any response either I'll start systematically shaking the tree once I'm back off this drilling rig.
@Matt unfortunately no, I have not had any luck this time either
@Trond Røsvik@Rick-admin have yall gotten any traction with ARCO?
I have spent a fair amount of time playing with my abms in settings etc. to be honest, the gobbledegook explainations of how the various settings interact and what they do is confusing. for the v...
@Ben @Trond Thank you both for the help! Ben's firmware did the trick! Everything was connected @ 250kbps and on the VE.CAN (BMS-CAN was never used) OSEnergy was toggled on also. ...
@Franz appreciated if you post an update from your findings.
Hi Ben, My setup includes just one charge controller and three MultiPlus-II units, all from Victron. The system is configured in ESS mode with surplus feed-in enabled. I’m guessing that&rsqu...
@Franz if amps are 0amp, charger should not charge. If charger stop charging voltage will be drop slowly. If voltage drop slowly, CVL is lowered as well. I also don't like this beha...
Try firmware, I have posted here, this is not an official release. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16CD829GWS/
In menu, you can make a logfile. Post the logfiles, this gives lots off information for troubleshooting. Is OSenergy CAN toggle to on?
Are you using 500 kbps or 250 kbps bitrate? I have found that it needs to be 250 kbps. If you use 500 kbps the WS500 will sync to the REC, but you dont get the data on from WS500 on Cerbo. ...
Hopefully someone here can help me out.. WS500-PRO "Output" not displaying on the Victron GX50 / Cerbo GX? Showing as two dashes next to the Alternator Icon.. The WS500-PRO is sh...
Hi everyone, I'm encountering an issue with my 2Q BMS: when the configured end-of-charge voltage is reached, the BMS doesn't lower the voltage accordingly. As a result, my Victron system doesn't s...
Ok, that's disappointing, but not unexpected I suppose.
In sync mode "disabled" it does read the voltage correct. But alternator volt is always 0V, even thought the volt sense is connected. Even unboxed an second Zeus to rule out HW failure.
Trond, have you tried to apply a "battery" voltage to the battery sense leads? On mine they don't sense anything.
So basicly the "battery voltage" just freezes and it continues full speed.. there is no stopping it. Disconnected the CAN cable 3 hours ago, still giving out 100% field. Acually if I turn Sync mo...
Also, once it's been connected to a can buss it will ignore the battery sense. I installed that as a backup to the can network and was dismayed to find the battery voltage measurement ignored...
I also discovered that in Sync mode (both Victron and REC) If the Zeus looses connection with the BMS it will just continue in Bulk mode and refering to the last known battery voltage. Essentually...
I've been speaking with an engineer (who I sense is new to Arco or the Zeus project). But his name is written down on the boat and I'm on a drilling rig right now.
Good point. Thanks for sharing all of your testing and insight. I have Nick's contact info buried somewhere so I am going to ask him to reply to this post.
My contact has been with Rob and Chris, but I guess they are more of an sales team. Nick is probably an better bet, will try to get his contact info. We have been dealing REC for 15...
This dual baud rate issue explains a lot. I havent had any luck with my contacts at ARCO, but that was a while back. It might be nice if we could get some insight from them. I am ...
