I thought that you needed the shunt on the alternator output and to have set the alternator maxium amps value aswell for DVCC to function correctly.

Yes, it is indeed to high. Try setting the Charged Voltage to 13.9V.

WS500 does indeed support DVCC.  Just make sure your WS500 has newest FW and DVCC support is enabled in the settings in WS500.

You can not remove this, Victron systems are nearly all built aroubd ac/dc conversion. Perhaps one day it will be customisable.
