Hi Rick, Thanks so much for your quick response! I thought I’d post this in the forum here, just in case others have similar questions. I’ll definitely take a look at the ...
Thanks for the update. We are hoping to be able to provide some testing feedback ourselves in the next week.
Just got this feedback from Arco: "Ok, found the issue on DVCC. We are fixing it, and it will be available in the next week or so. The comms issue (unplugging the network cable) has be...
Hey Bill, If your serial# on your Q BMS is 4000+ it has the additional memory and can be upgraded to 2.9x. We just need the serial# For your Master/Slave, it too can be upgraded but we will...
With Sync Disabled you should see these data. And this works just fine.. I also have REC BMS, but using it with volt sense is fine until Arco improves the SW. I was also an "beta tester" fo...
@Trond I tried the other day to get the Zeus to follow DVCC using a smart shunt as the battery monitor....no joy. I brought this up to Andre at Arco that following a BMS was not participating...
@Richard Thanks! I am reviewing the video. Great suggestion.
Hello all, Any news on a SW update for the Q-BMS devices? I have a 9M managing two Q-BMS 4P8S house batteries. I also have a single Q-BMS for my propulsion engine start battery. I am ...
Tested in system with Victron Smart BMS NG and still can not get DVCC to work. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Also, in V1.24 there is no timeout if Zeus looses contact with BMS. The las...
@Stefano Email with 1.6.2 F/W sent. Also check for any nearby AC power lines. Induced AC noise can be a contributing factor Is your wifi module in a natural faraday cage?...
@Ben de Groot thank you. I have brifly tried to have the REC Wifi module to join the boat AP, but unsucessfully. I admit, that have not tried hard enough. But I will get the 1.6.2 from OGM and see...
@Stefano I have many wifi's running on 1.6.2, very stable. 1.6.2 was an improvement compare to older versions I didn't have tried the 1.6.3 version. Maybe try 1.6.2 or that works bet...
Hi Ben, Thank you for looking into this. It is the latest, the REC-WiFi-module-firmware-update-1.6.3-March-28-2024 firmware, which I installed on first connection along with all available firmwar...
@Stefano I use different switches as well. The switch is NC model, keep that in mind.
Which firmware is installed in the WiFi unit?
Hello, For context, I am installing an ABMS-PreCharge-WiFi with LFP 3P4S EVE314 cells on a boat. The WiFi functioned correctly during bench testing in the shop. However, once installed on the boa...
@Bill C. seem the most sensible think to do. Thanks for replying.
for what it's worth, I replaced my switch with a bigger one that is mounted in a watertight box and labeled the hell out of it.
In a marine environment anything is possible with the humid salt laden air. I would remove and inspect the harness and connector pins
@Rick could the bad connection be in the plug/socket arrangement in the bottom of the BMS?????
Thats great news Michael, pins are crimped on the harness I have here in the office.
@Rick@Tine Andrejasic Thanks Rick, the update that Tine has supplied has resolved the issue, thanks to you both.I will check the connections in the top of the cells, they are under a clear p...
I think I have a reasonable explanation for your error. When the Active BMS first powers up it does some tests and one is to drive the active balancer which puts a large load on you cell tap ...
What do you guys and gals do with the tiny tiny on-off switch on the BMS harness. Replace with human size? OR somehow install. If you install i'd love to see how. I am tempted to just leave it hid...
Hey Mike, Thanks, I appreciate that. I havent heard from Tine on this one but I'll reach out to see if I can get to the bottom of it.
Hi Rick, just to keep you in the loop, Tine has sent me a firmware update, I will give this a go(unfortunately I don't think I will get to the boat till the weekend), I will update the forum on the...
Hi everyone,I've been monitoring this behavior and noticed the following:The BMS only switches to float mode once the set float voltage is reached or drops below that threshold. With a Victron syst...
@Rick Hi Rick, just back from the boat, and I can confirm that the cell voltages are pretty much what the BMS is reporting, so slightly at a loss where I go from here apart from sending the unit ba...
Have you ried connecting directly to the slave with the Wifi Module?
As you can see it seems that the BMS is seeing all the correct numbers and forwarding them onto the display, so slightly confused why the BMS is erroring out as I would have thought the numbers wer...
@Rick I will check the measured voltages compared to the screen shots
You may want to DM Rick Bell, the owner for sw/firmware update issues. Send an email to the ogm support email address. support@ogm-energy.com Please report back what you learn. I too have a 9M con...
ok Mike, with this additional information it changes the equation. An error 10 is usually a serious error on a failed system. When you get back please verify the error code and all cell...
Hi Rick Thanks for this, I will give all of this a go, but I am off the boat now. It's interesting that you are indicating that it could be the cell tap wires, the display on the BMS is showing t...
Hey Michael, An error 10 is not good. It usually indicates a short circuit or blown fuses in the BMS. This can be caused by removing a cell tap wire while the harness is connected or a...
