@Christopher I have found for the Victron BMV-712 to match the REC Active using (1.04) Peukert exponent works well.
Thanks Rick, just sent it.
Sure, just send a quick email to support@ogm-energy.com and we will send it to you
Hello everyone, I recently upgraded the firmware to 2.5.1 but unfortunately this broke the display of NMEA alternator data (temperatures, rpm, current, etc) on my B&G Zeus3. This was something ...
@Peter Well The resistors inside the BMS are 4Ohms, this means when balancing @ 2.5V that is minimum threshold it would be 0.625 A when balancing, but actually a bit lower since the BMS perf...
Thank you Rick. In order to use the two 2Q slaves, do you also need a Master unit?
We havent ever had to use this but hopefully Tine from REC can help @Tine Andrejasic
Hi Peter, I can answer a few questions here for you. There is an extra output that can be configured using the Tasks section of the WiFi for your ssplit bus system For a 22 cell configuration yo...
Hi, this is my first post, as I just found this company as a reseller of REC BMS. I'm building a new battery system for my double-split-phase Sunny Island backup power system. The battery will co...
I'm trying get my external battery monitor to match with the SOC calculation performed by the BMS. I'd like to know the Peukert exponent used by the BMS. Thanks, Chris
This project is still alive but moving slowly. We hope to be able to put some real time into it this summer
From Bob Pogue One major thing that I see that is missing is a manual charge initiation option. You’ll often want to fill the pack while driving even though it hasn’t reached its disch...
I wonder if there is an issue with the module 2 precharge unit. The 6 pin descriptions are different than the newer 10 pin and possibly (probably) miswired in some way. In particular mi...
If the Cerbo is also powered on the system side then it does not get the data from the BMS when disconnected.
@tine Yes there is a contactor and it is connected in the positive.
Charge current is only set to 0 A when the temperature goes under the Under-temperature for charging. Contactors are ON unless you select them in the TASKS for the charge relay 1.
No can't do. It does not work like this. Victron CAN bus protocol was provided to us and all the CAN data is supported. To get the Time to go, they would have to add this feature or a programmer sh...
@Christopher Is the Quattro connected to the BMS via a contactor. IS the contactor in positive or negative?
I did a test. Installed a fresh downloaded firmware. Made the suggested settings. All worked. (I use a test setup, with 4 LED to monitor all outputs) Advise, double check firmware version. Aft...
Hi Ben, When I go into tasks to relay 1 set to highest cell - negative to off, and put a lower voltage in than present, it does trip the charge relay and leave the load relay connected. Good! &nbs...
@Ronald For me is not clear which minimum voltage you change in your test. If you did this in Task under relay1, then you are programming relay1, as a "low voltage" shut down. Not what you w...
@BenOkay, wired per this diagram and settings as per your task-relay1 (charge relay), when I test for LVC the charge relay trips open instead of what I thought should be the load relay. Not s...
@Ronald the opto are other outputs, see manual.
@Ben Page 7 of the manual you linked above. For the other relay, is that the opto in tasks?
@Ronald There are different manuals, I don't know what your pag 7 shows. About the settings from previous post. Under task the settings are for charge relay, use cable marked with C...
@Ben Thanks for getting back to me. I do have 2.9.2-2 loaded. Tried to edit my earlier post but couldn't get it. I'll try your settings and look at that manual for a start. ...
The setup you describe is "separated charge and load bus" You need to install the correct firmware.download: https://rec-bms-na.com/product-manuals/#7-8-wpfd-rec-active-bms from the readme file:2...
Best of the New Year to All, I have a 3p4s 12v setup on my boat that I thought I had working correctly but something is not right. No fancy Blue stuff here, all old but working just the same...
Hello John, Did you try to set in task, "7" on, for the charge bus. Load bus, I expect don't switch off at that temperature. It don't solve all your question, but the system will wor...
@Rick Thanks! I was going to email them directly but knew it was holiday season so tried this forum. Happy holidays!
We are going to need to get REC head office to give us some input on this one. They are closed until the new year but by way of this post I am letting them know. Any ideas on this one Tine? ...
@John a probably solution is to use output: relay1 and opto2. Under task you can make different settings. See screenshot from task menu.
John,I considered the Blue Sea swtich - it's a good switch (I have one and like it), but for my Lithium I wanted a smaller more compact solution which the EGIS seems to provide - I'll know when I p...
I've been using the Blue Sea ML-RBS for about 2 years and zero issues with it; off a REC pre-charge 3.0 module. I like that it has a definitive safety lock-out reature, and emergency disconne...
Topic says it all. I have a REC ABMS running latest 2.92-2 firmware for a split bus. Batteries are 4s4p 280Ah cells. The charge side is using a pre-charge 3.0 module which controls a Blue S...
@Rick I did some more experimenting. When the Victron system loses communication with the REC BMS the Quattro goes into "Passthru" mode (this is shown for the Quattro status in Device List on the d...
@Ryan I installed many V1 board. Nothing changed on pin layout with newer versions. Did you checked that your harness is a Ntype harness? If you have a Nharness and your test light is between the...
I updated the Cerbo GX firmware. The Quattro is running firmware 497 and I think the latest is 499. I don't think there are any significant differences, but I'll request the firmware from Victron. ...
